Contraceptive patch

Contraceptive patches – Hormonal contraceptive with both oestrogen and progestogen

The contraceptive patch is 4.5 cm in size and contains two hormones, oestrogen and progestogen. The hormones are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, where they prevent ovulation. The patch can be placed in various places on the body, but not the breasts.

Bleeding when using the contraceptive patch
Contraceptive patches often provide good control over bleeding, with bleeding every four weeks, as with menstruation. You can skip the bleeding if you wish.
